A Cambodia visa photo for the e-Visa is the photo you upload in the online application form on evisa.gov.kh, the e-Visa website of Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. For both the tourist and the business e-Visa, the portal asks for a recent passport-size photo in digital format (JPEG or PNG).
Applying for your Cambodia visa online? Start here: the Cambodia e-Visa photo is already selected in the tool on this page, and IDPhotoBy saves your finished photo as a JPEG.
On evisa.gov.kh you can apply online for Cambodia's tourist visa (Visa T) and business visa (Visa E). The portal lists the same requirements for both visa types: "Passport validity of more than six months balance at the time of entry, a recent passport-size photo in digital format (JPEG or PNG format), a valid credit card (Visa/MasterCard)."
| Photo rule | What the e-Visa portal asks for |
|---|
| Recency | A recent photo |
| Size | "Passport-size", with no measurement on the portal's public pages |
| Background color | Not given on the portal's public pages |
| Format | A digital file, JPEG or PNG |
| How you submit it | Upload it in the online application form |
| Changing it after you submit | Send the new photo to [email protected] with your reference number |
IDPhotoBy crops your photo to a head-and-shoulders JPEG in a 40 × 60 mm frame (our choice, not a portal rule).
The portal lists citizens of Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Myanmar as exempt from the tourist visa.
If you're looking for a passport-size photo for a Cambodia visa, note that the portal's public pages don't turn "passport-size" into a measurement, and they don't give pixel dimensions, a file-size limit or a background color. The 40 × 60 mm (4 × 6 cm) portrait frame that IDPhotoBy uses is our choice, not a requirement published by the portal.
In that frame, IDPhotoBy places your head so that it measures 38–42 mm from chin to the top of your head, with 6–8 mm of space above it. These numbers are our default framing, not a Cambodian rule.
The Cambodia e-Visa was introduced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in April 2006 to promote Cambodia's tourism industry. Its website is evisa.gov.kh, and Cambodia's embassy in Paris says this is the only e-Visa website of the Government of Cambodia. The embassy adds that the Ministry has identified fraudulent websites offering e-Visa services, so make sure you apply on evisa.gov.kh.
IDPhotoBy only prepares your Cambodian visa photo. We don't apply for the visa or send anything to the portal. You upload the photo yourself, in your own application.
IDPhotoBy works with the photo you upload: it crops it around your head and shoulders, checks the background and saves a JPEG file. It doesn't retouch your face. Because the portal's public pages give no measurement, we don't present 40 × 60 mm as a Cambodian requirement. It is simply the frame we use. We don't apply for your visa, and we can't promise that your photo or your visa will be accepted. The Cambodian authorities decide on your application.
The e-Visa requirements are published on evisa.gov.kh, and they can change. Check the official application portal before submitting.
