Free India FRRO Photo Online — Make a 35×35 mm e-FRRO Photo

Registering your stay in India as a foreign national? This is a foreigner document, not an Indian citizen one: FRRO / e-FRRO registration is for foreign nationals — students, employees and long-term visitors — not for Indian passport or visa applicants.

The e-FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration) portal is operated by the Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs, the authority for foreign nationals registering or extending their stay in India. If you have seen 2×2 inch (51×51 mm) for a FRRO photo on some tools, that is a US-passport square and is not one of the two sizes the e-FRRO portal lists (3.5×3.5 cm or 3.5×4.5 cm). You do not need a studio. You can take a FRRO photo at home with a phone and still get a compliant result:

• Stand about 1.5 m in front of a plain white wall in soft, even daylight, so there are no shadows on your face or behind you.
• Face the camera straight on with a neutral expression and your eyes open, showing your full face from the front. Have someone take the photo, or use a timer, at eye level.
• Keep glasses off if they cause glare or hide your eyes. Fill the frame with your head and the top of your shoulders, then upload it here and let IDPhotoBy crop it to 35×35 mm on a white background.

Take the photo recently so it still looks like you — the e-FRRO portal asks for a good-quality photograph but does not state an exact recency period in months.
