Getting the size right: 400×600, not 600×400
Iran's own e-Visa portal is clear about the order: the personal photo must be sized in 400(minimum-width) × 600(minimum-height) pixels — width first, height second, portrait, not the reverse. Getting this backwards would give you a wide, landscape image instead of the tall, portrait one evisatraveller.mfa.ir actually asks for — worth double-checking before you submit.
