Navigo Card Photo — Make a 25×30 mm Photo

Upload a photo and IDPhotoBy crops and resizes it to the 25×30 mm size used for Navigo card photos — white background checked, ready to glue onto your Passe Navigo Découverte or upload via Mon Navigo.

Our photos meet international government standards.

Getting a Navigo card — the Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) transport pass for Paris and the surrounding region — usually means supplying your own photo. This page prepares a Navigo card photo, 25×30 mm, on a white background: upload an existing photo and IDPhotoBy crops and resizes it to that size, with the Navigo card document already selected. Depending on which Navigo product you're subscribing to, you'll either print and glue the photo onto your card yourself, or upload it online through your Mon Navigo account.

Navigo card photo requirements

The photo size in near-universal use for Navigo cards is 25×30 mm, on a white background. The photo should be front-facing and bare-headed, showing your face clearly, not previously used, and not a scanned image or photocopy. IDPhotoBy positions your head to about 70–80% of the frame height (roughly 75% ideal) when cropping your photo to this size, so you don't need to measure or frame it yourself.

Which Navigo card needs a photo, and how do you submit it?

IDFM sells several different Navigo products, and the photo channel depends on which one you're getting:

  • Passe Navigo Découverte (the card most visitors and occasional travellers use): you write your name on the paper card, glue on your own printed photo, and press down the card's self-adhesive flap yourself. The photo must be front-facing, bare-headed, on a neutral background, and not previously used, scanned or photocopied.
  • Passe Navigo, Navigo Annuel and Liberté+ (personalised subscriptions, typically for residents/workers): you can upload a JPEG photo online through your Mon Navigo account — from a webcam, phone, tablet, or a file — or send a printed photo by post together with the paper application form.
  • Subscribing in person at a transport agency: for these personalised subscriptions, no photo is needed at all if you subscribe at an agency counter — it's taken on the spot.

IDPhotoBy prepares the photo file either way — a print-ready file for gluing onto the Découverte card, or a properly sized digital file for the Mon Navigo online upload.

How IDPhotoBy prepares your Navigo card photo

  • Upload a recent, front-facing photo — the Navigo card document is already selected.
  • IDPhotoBy crops and resizes your photo to 25×30 mm and checks your background against the white requirement.
  • Preview the result before downloading.
  • Download the finished file — print it at home for the Passe Navigo Découverte, or use the digital file for a Mon Navigo online upload where that channel applies to your subscription.

IDPhotoBy resizes, crops and checks the background of the photo you upload. It does not retouch, beautify or otherwise edit your face, and it does not add or swap backgrounds as a marketed feature — Navigo cards call for a genuine, current likeness. We make no acceptance promise: no online tool can honestly guarantee a physical ticket agent or transport-agency check will accept any given photo.

Where does the 25×30 mm size come from?

No page on Île-de-France Mobilités' own site — including the full Passe Navigo Découverte terms and conditions — publishes an exact photo width or height in mm, cm or px for any Navigo product. 25×30 mm is a widely-used convention among photo tools and travellers, not a figure IDFM itself states. IDPhotoBy uses 25×30 mm because it is the size in practical, near-universal use for this card — not because IDFM mandates it.
